For technical issues, tell us your iPhone or iPad model, system version and what happens. Do not send passwords or Apple verification codes. If you attach a screenshot, hide personal information that is not needed.
Documents and recovery
Where are my documents?
Your working library is stored on your device. When iCloud is available and enabled for Stenne, documents and attachments sync through your own Apple account. You do not need a Stenne account. Documents already stored on the device remain available offline in the verified owner’s archive; syncing updates them when a connection is available.
I deleted a document or have a draft to recover.
From Home, tap your avatar and open Archive to find the Trash and recoverable drafts. Recovery preserves changes without replacing the originals.
There are two versions of a document.
In your workspace information, compare the versions and choose one or keep both. Keep any copies you need until you have compared them.
How do folders and favourites work?
You can create empty folders, rename them and move documents. Tap the star to add a document to your Home favourites. Add lets you choose a document from your library. Empty folders and their custom display names stay on this device; documents in folders continue to sync with iCloud.
Can I hide How to use Stenne?
Yes. Hide the guide from Home or turn it off in Customise Home. It remains available in Settings and can be shown again.
Can I collaborate with other people?
Collaboration and invitations are temporarily disabled. You can export a document and send a copy using the iOS share sheet. Later changes to your original do not update a copy you have sent.
iCloud and export
How do I save a copy?
Open the document options and choose Export document. Choose a PDF for reading or printing, or a complete ZIP copy containing Markdown and attachments, then save or share it to your preferred destination. PDFs identify audio, video and attached files but do not embed them; use a complete copy to include those files. No subscription is required to export.
How do I manage syncing and iCloud data?
Sign in to your Apple account in your device settings and check that iCloud is enabled for Stenne. The app shows sync status in workspace information. Offline changes stay on your device until they can sync. Manage iCloud storage and app data in Apple’s settings. Save any copies you want to keep before deleting data.
How do I connect Google Calendar?
Open Calendar and Connected calendars, then choose Google sign-in. This optional connection uses Google Sign-In. You grant permission on Google’s page without sharing your password with Stenne. You can view and manage events in calendars you have permission to access. Disconnecting removes the connection and its events from Stenne’s view without deleting events on Google; event changes you confirm in the app are applied to the selected calendar. You can also revoke access in your Google account connections. See the privacy notice for details.
Stenne Pro and lists
What changes with Pro?
Create five personal documents for free. Examples count towards this limit: edit or delete them as you like. Pro unlocks unlimited documents: €2.99 per month or €24.99 per year in Italy. Reading, editing and exporting existing documents remain available without Pro.
How do I manage or restore a subscription?
Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings. To restore a purchase with the same Apple account, open Stenne Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Use Apple’s service for refund requests.
How do lists work?
Choose Checklist or Bulleted list when you create a list. In a checklist, tap the circle to complete an item. Find it under Completed to restore it. Bulleted lists have no completion circles. The same list is also accessible from Documents.
